She has a degree in education and worked as a freelance counsellor for women and mothers for ten years during and after her studies. She initiated and implemented various projects for the unemployed before founding LOK e.V. in 1999 to focus on the topic of business start-ups. 40 years of professional experience have given her extensive experience in project development, management and implementation of economic and labour market policy projects as well as in consultancy work in the following areas: Start-ups from unemployment, migrant economy, creative and cultural industries, women's start-ups, NGOs and educational projects, local and social economy. Innovative strategy development and programme intervention are also among her passions.

Michael Mashofer graduated with a master's degree in literature and theatre sciences. He has worked in project development and realisation since the company was founded and is responsible for the finances and accounting of the individual projects.

After graduating, he worked for four years as a lecturer in maths and computer science at the IFBE (Institute for Job-Related Adult Education). There he taught young people who had been mediated by the job centre. He still uses the experience he gained back then in his counselling at Neustart. He coaches and advises participants with empathy and expertise.

After studying Italian philology and classical archaeology, she completed a second degree in media design. She wrote books on design history, worked as a translator in the cultural sector and ran online marketing in the high-end segment. In communication, she relies on a successful combination of form and content. As a freelance graphic designer, she supports non-profit projects. Since 2019, she has been contributing her knowledge to the projects of LOK.a.Motion GmbH.
